First let me say I miss Vox. Something about Typepad I DO NOT LIKE. I can't get a look a like. I can't find anything. I can't figure out how to tag things. Oh, I just figured it out. BUt do I have to go back and RE-TAG all the posts I moved over here? Annoying!
But on to the good news. I don't know if I have ever anticipated a weekend's arrival any more than this one. The weather is going to be fucking awesome. I have absolutely ZERO obligations or plans. Which is especially welcome after the HELL of busyness and annoyance that was last weekend. I am going to play tennis. I am going to work on the vegetable garden. I am going to watch Giants games and the Niners on Sunday. I am going to clean the kitchen. I am going to enjoy a beautiful, amazing weekend in the best place in the world, the Bay Area (Oakland, specifically).
Last night I made a most delicous stir-fry. I am back into my old standby, the China Moon Cookbook. I adapted the recipe for Chicken with black bean and garlic sauce to use stuff from my garden. I picked cherry tomatoes, bok choy, a beautiful carrot and my first scallions of the year to make a delicious, fresh and perfect dinner. Tonight is pizza night.
